A well made hat. Unfortunately, it arrived with the brim partly squashed in on one side, apparently as a result of being squeezed into a box that wasn't quite large enough for it. There was no padding or packaging in the box except for a plastic bag around the hat. I think I could have steamed it back into the correct shape, but it was also a bit small so I decided to return it.Great quality! Very nice hat!Nice hat not a good fitThis is the second time I have ordered this hat and received the wrong size. The product is beautiful but trying to get a correct size seems to be very difficult,Look you buy this one because you like it. If you don’t like it don’t buy it.Happy with it will be getting other kinds from them.This hat has a LOT of volume between the brim and crown! That means it looks great on my large frame despite having a narrowish brim. I'm usually restricted to hats with wider brims because the narrow brimmed hats (like the trilby hats that many people call fedoras) look out of scale and somewhat silly on me. This one is the exception! Seriously, if you are a big person, this is your top hat. Don't even bother looking further, just get this one. If you are not a big person, this is your Mad Hatter top hat. :)I found their sizing on another web site, and I am right at the 1/4" measurement that is between two sizes, so I ordered the extra-large size. I did this because I have hats that are 'just barely' large enough, and after wearing them for a few hours, I start to get a headache. Sure enough, this is just slightly too large, so I have to tilt the whole hat back a bit. I may try to line the hatband with something to improve the fit.Update: I ordered the size large to see how it would fit. It is, indeed, too small for me. So now my spouse has a matching top hat.Conclusion: If you are between sizes, order one size up!This hat is the REAL thing! It's not a toy or a Halloween costume hat. It's a real historical replica.
