Im Winter trage ich zum Mantel einen breitkrempigen Fedora aus schwererem Material. Nun suchte ich noch ein etwas leichteres Modell, das man auch bei wärmeren Temperaturen zum Sakko tragen kann. Ich habe da bereits als Reisehut einen knautschbaren Fedora, suchte jetzt aber noch ein etwas formstabileres Modell. Dieser Stetson war dafür die beste Wahl. Ist qualitativ hochwertig, das Material eher dünn aber sehr formstabil. Da bekannt ist, dass Stetson-Hüte etwas groß ausfallen, bestellte ich eine Nummer kleiner. Passte auf Anhieb perfekt. Man kann im Prinzip die gleiche Größen-Regel anwenden wie bei den Hüten von Mayser. Es liegen auch Korkstreifen und sogar vom Händler noch selbstklebende Schaumgummieinlagen bei. Waren bei mir nicht nötig, kann ich aber gut für andere Hüte gebrauchen. Der Hut kommt in einem ansprechenden Karton mit Trageschlaufe, den man auch gleich als Hutschachtel zur Aufbewahrung verwenden kann.
